SASS Sexual Assault Support Services

AmeriCorps at SASS

AmeriCorps is a national service program established in 1993, modeled after the Peace Corps. Instead of serving in foreign countries, AmeriCorps offers citizens of different ages and backgrounds the opportunity to serve in communities all over the United States in the focus areas of education, public health and safety, other human needs, environment, and homeland security.

Sexual Assault Support Services has been an AmeriCorps Host Site since 1995. AmeriCorps members at SASS volunteered through Oregon's statewide "HOPE" ("Healthy Options through Prevention and Education") program, one of the approximately 600 AmeriCorps programs in the United States.

SASS would like to thank all of our past AmeriCorps members for their invaluable contribution to our mission of supporting survivors of sexual violence!
